It's hard to believe that we're coming to the end of July already. Our school year here in NJ doesn't begin until September but I spent today working on my district social studies curriculum committee (and will be back at it tomorrow), so I'm feeling in the thick of it right now. It's actually a good thing, though - reviewing and updating curriculum is getting me energized to get back in the classroom.
Speaking of my classroom... I can't wait for you to see the next issue of Scholastic Instructor Magazine! They came into my classroom for a segment on classroom setup. I think it will be part of an article in their August issue, as well as a video segment on the Scholastic Instructor website. I'm excited but a little nervous, too! I will be doing a blog feature on my classroom setup soon with lots of pictures. Here's a sneak peek:
